Volkswagen is preparing an electric SUV called ID. 4
Volkswagen's electric concept continues, as the German company confirmed that the production version of the CROZZ concept will be called ID.4.
Last year, Volkswagen launched its first all-electric car: ID.3. This is the first model of the ID family in the zero-emission car series. However, the electric hatchback won't be alone, this is because Volkswagen has confirmed that there will also be an electric crossover that will be called the ID.4.
The car company has released new photos showing that the crossover is close to entering production. Covered with blue camouflage foil, ID. 4 has a durable look. The front part has a fully enclosed grille, led headlights and protruding air intakes. The ID 4 will initially be sold with a single electric motor and drive for the rear wheels, and a much more powerful four-wheel drive model will be released later.
As the ID Crozz concept, on which the ID 4 is based, suggests, the rear-wheel drive model will provide up to 203 HP and 310 Nm of torque, from its rear-mounted electric motor. The four-wheel drive model will add a front engine that together will produce a total power output of 306 HP and 450 Nm of torque.
